SUMMARY:Marvin Smink Dressage Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Marvin started riding at the age of eight\, from the first moment he sat on a horse he knew this was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Marvin spent many hours at “Manege Spijkerboor”. “At the age of twelve\, my Grandpa and my parents gave me my first pony.” \nAfter finishing school\, Marvin continued to follow his equestrian dream to become a qualified Dutch Bereiter. Completing his Masters in training dressage horses at NHB Deurne in 2010 (The National Dutch Equine School). \nOnce qualified\, Marvin worked at a number of international dressage stables in the Netherlands\, training and schooling a number of horses from three year olds up to Grand Prix level\, under the supervision of International trainer Ger Geertsen and International Grand Prix riders Rien and Inge van der Schaft. \nThis clinic will be a great warm-up for anyone competing at Peninsula Adult Riding Club Dressage event on 17 March 2024.

SUMMARY:Dirk Dijkstra clinic at Jolong Park
DESCRIPTION:Our February clinic is with Grand Prix rider and international competitor Dirk Dijkstra at Jolong Park in Bangholme. Dirk is a domestically competing international Grand Prix dressage rider with over 40 years of experience. Previously\, he graced the arena with his Dutch Warmblood stallion\, AEA Metallic\, as well as riding Royalito in Australian Grand Prix competitions. As the driving force behind Jolong Park\, Dirk dedicates much of his day coaching riders of all levels. Influenced by the Dutch system and inspired by legends such as Anky and Sjef Van Grunsven\, Dirk adapts his coaching to the evolving landscape of modern horse breeding. Dirk is one of Australia’s top coaches\, regularly coaching both local students and going interstate for clinics. Dirk has trained many horses from Young Horses to FEI. \nImage: Stephen Bowbray

It will be with the very talented and popular Belle Bourke Equestrian Services who is based at Jindarra Park in Baxter.\n\n\n\nBelle is an EA Level 1 general coach. She has a certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Diploma of Horse Business Management. She is also an HRCAV Level Assessor.\n\n\n\nBelle spent 12 years with the Victorian Police Mounted Branch and took on the role of managing the “Horse Acquisition & Training” and “Rider Training” sections for over 6 years. She is very passionate about improving the horse and rider partnership. DESCRIPTION:KEC is holding our Xmas rally on Sunday 5th December with the very popular Manuela McLean.\n\n\nManuela is a NCAS Level 2 Dressage Specialist Coach and is the Co-Director of Equitation Science International. Her specialty is improving the rider’s posture and balance. She has developed multiple techniques for riders at all levels to improve their training.\n\n\nAmbrosha Park in Bangholme will be our venue for the day. Morning and Afternoon sessions will be available combining groundwork and a private lesson.\nCost $60 for a single lesson or $100 for both ground and ridden.
