SUMMARY:Cynthia Bossema - February rally 2025
DESCRIPTION:Cynthia Bossema Dressage – Coach\n\nCynthia is very good at pinpointing where your problem areas are and working through exercises to improve them. Lessons are all about finding the reasons behind why we are not progressing and working out a plan to improve them. So some along and find out for yourself. \nABOUT CYNTHIA \nAlthough I was born Australia\, I basically grew in the Netherlands and have had a passion for horses since I was six years old. \nI started competing in the Netherlands when I was 14 years old and throughout the years I competed many horses of my own and others\, up until FEI level. I won the regional championships in the Netherlands several times. I sold horses of my own to the USA\, England\, France\, and other countries in Europe. \nWhilst I was studying law I worked for Annemeik Vincourt at her dressage training centre for years. Riding six to eight horses per day at a higher level – also Grand Prix horses – and always having her eyes on the ground really gave me the feeling of a what dressage is about. I have also trained with Johan Hamminga and Adeline Cornelissen (Dutch Olympic Team Rider) \nI gained experience on a very different level by completing the three year course in the Netherlands to become an accredited Dressage Coach. \nI will teach riders of all levels\, who are willing to learn and improve. If you decide to come and train with me\, I look forward to meeting you and your horse and start your journey to success.

SUMMARY:Marilyn Smithett - Dressage protocol day
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nWe are very excited to offer a Dressage Protocol Day with well known HRCAV judge Marilyn Smithett.\n\nThis is the perfect opportunity to dip your toe in if you have a green horse\, or if you would like to try a test the level above or just get some feedback in preparation for TTT Dressage (which is the following weekend). If you would like to learn more from your dressage riding\, these days are very helpful.\n\n\nThey give you the opportunity to learn what judges are looking for\, what movements are required at each level\, ringcraft\, what the marks mean\, and a whole lot more.\n\nMarilyn Smithett has been an HRCAV dressage judge of all levels for approx 30 years. Marilyn is also a past EA dressage judge\, a current HRCAV show judge all levels\, and  just retiring from being a level assessor after 40 years. Marilyn also coaches.\n\nMarilyn loves judging dressage. It gives her the opportunity to help riders progress through the grades by commenting on what they are doing and how to try & improve their tests.\n\n“In my opinion\, I think dressage is the most challenging discipline of all. To see a rider connect with their horse in a harmonious way is very rewarding\,\n\nI look forward to this protocol day\, knowing we will have a good day sharing knowledge\, answering questions & having a bit of fun with our lovely horses\,” says Marilyn.\n\nSee you on the 16 November!\n\n\n\nLocation: Wilkira Park – Moorooduc\nCost: $35 per test\nTime: 30 mins per test includes riding time and feedback.\n\nPlease book NOW via Event Secretary!\nhttps://eventsecretary.com.au/clubs/rallies/21252\n\nWe will also have our AGM and awards ceremony on at 12:30pm.

SUMMARY:Amanda Lewer - poles clinic
DESCRIPTION:Poles Clinic: Sunday 15 February \nWhere: Willow Lane Equestrian Centre\, Pillars Road\, Bangholme \nCost: $55 for 1hr session with 3 riders \nAbout Amanda: \nI’m Amanda Lewer\, an equestrian coach and horse trainer for over 26 years. In that time I’ve carved out my own training methods to help thousands of horse riders to improve their connection\, feel and position. As a foundation coach I aim to help horse riders keep horses sound\, fit for purpose and willing participants. \nMy horse training methods have developed over many years of breaking and training. In the beginning\, as a child\, I wanted to go to the Olympics but after working in that environment in my late teens\, I decided that wasn’t what I wanted to do and my focus shifted away from competition. \nMy addiction to horse sports was and remains cemented in my love of horses. I never really cared if anyone knew who I was or how I trained but here I am running a humble little business. AML was born from a growing number of clients turning to me for help. \nI never specialised in any particular discipline despite originally competing in eventing. My non-specific love of many horse sports caused me to attract clients from all disciplines. This gave me the opportunity to work with a variety of horse breeds. \nI have lost count now but I’ve roughly calculated to have trained over 250 horses in my life and coached over 16\,000 riders in the last 8 years. The experience I gained from this\, continues to help my methods evolve in order to help more horses and their riders. \nThe training I experienced under elite level competitive riders in EVENTING and SHOW JUMPING gave me a solid understanding of what is required of a high level performance horse and rider. The trainers who I am forever grateful to are the ones who are not household names\, who have no claim to fame or notoriety in the equestrian realm. These trainers are by far some of the best horsemen and women I have ever known. \nIt is my aim to ensure AML continues to pay it forward\, encouraging horse riders to love the horse first and the sport second. \n
