Marilyn Smithett – Dressage protocol day

We are very excited to offer a Dressage Protocol Day with well known HRCAV judge Marilyn Smithett.
This is the perfect opportunity to dip your toe in if you have a green horse, or if you would like to try a test the level above or just get some feedback in preparation for TTT Dressage (which is the following weekend). If you would like to learn more from your dressage riding, these days are very helpful.
They give you the opportunity to learn what judges are looking for, what movements are required at each level, ringcraft, what the marks mean, and a whole lot more.
Marilyn Smithett has been an HRCAV dressage judge of all levels for approx 30 years. Marilyn is also a past EA dressage judge, a current HRCAV show judge all levels, and just retiring from being a level assessor after 40 years. Marilyn also coaches.
Marilyn loves judging dressage. It gives her the opportunity to help riders progress through the grades by commenting on what they are doing and how to try & improve their tests.
“In my opinion, I think dressage is the most challenging discipline of all. To see a rider connect with their horse in a harmonious way is very rewarding,
I look forward to this protocol day, knowing we will have a good day sharing knowledge, answering questions & having a bit of fun with our lovely horses,” says Marilyn.

Cost: $35 per test
Time: 30 mins per test includes riding time and feedback.
